One hundred trillion dollars – Zimbabwe 2008 UNC

Become a trillionaire with the reigning “champion” of zero-mania! Robert Mugabe’s one hundred trillion Zimbabwe dollars issue holds the current record for the largest number of zeroes ever printed on a circulating banknote: fourteen. Issued in mid-January 2009, this note circulated for only a few weeks before the entire “third dollar” (ZWR) was superseded by Zimbabwe’s “fourth dollar” (ZWL) issue at a trillion-to-one revaluation. That series, in turn, was extinguished just nine weeks later with the suspension of the Zimbabwe dollar.

This highly attractive banknote — in addition to its massive crop of zeroes and the solemn promise from Dr. G. Gono to “pay to the bearer on demand one hundred trillion dollars” — features the Chiremba Balancing Rocks on the front side, and vignettes of Victoria Falls and a buffalo on the reverse.

This highly collectible banknote is in UNCIRCULATED condition, without creases, tears or discoloration of any kind.
