One hundred trillion dollars - Zimbabwe 2008 UNC

Become a trillionaire with the reigning "champion" of zero-mania! Robert Mugabe's one hundred trillion Zimbabwe dollars issue holds the current record for the largest number of zeroes ever printed on a circulating banknote: fourteen. Issued in mid-January 2009, this note circulated for only a few weeks before the entire "third dollar" (ZWR) was superseded by Zimbabwe's "fourth dollar" (ZWL) issue at a trillion-to-one revaluation. That series, in turn, was extinguished just nine weeks later with the suspension of the Zimbabwe dollar.

This highly attractive banknote -- in addition to its massive crop of zeroes and the solemn promise from Dr. G. Gono to "pay to the bearer on demand one hundred trillion dollars" -- features the Chiremba Balancing Rocks on the front side, and vignettes of Victoria Falls and a buffalo on the reverse.

This highly collectible banknote is in UNCIRCULATED condition, without creases, tears or discoloration of any kind.

Part of the 1993 "October dinar" issue, introduced at a million-to-one revaluation against the older "reformed dinar" -- which didn't fare so well, either.

One billion dinars from Yugoslavia's hyperinflation period. This note is one of the last issued in the so-called 1992 "reformed dinar" series, soon to be replaced with a new series at a million-to-one revaluation.

This collectible banknote is the perfect gift for your economics teacher or the Austrian economist in your family. You may not receive the serial number or exact note pictured. All are in XF/EF condition, which means lightly circulated with small corner bending and light creasing.

This note once held the dubious honor of having the largest number of zeros — eleven! — ever placed into circulation. Lately, though, Robert Mugabe’s wholesale robbery of the population of Zimbabwe has beat the record, with notes in the hundreds of trillions of dollars (including printed zeros) issued.

This collectible banknote is the perfect gift for your economics teacher or the Austrian economist in your family. You may not receive the serial number or exact note pictured. All are in XF/EF condition, which means lightly circulated with small corner bending and light creasing.
